That's amazing!
Two weeks ago, we went to Ocean Park to have fun. We didn't want to
leave granddad home alone, so we invited him to go with us. Ocean
Park is no fun for an old man like me,he reponded. It took us half
an hour to talk him into going with us. I can't remember how many
times he yawned from the moment he stepped into Ocean Park but the
show of the killer-whale in the Ocean Theatre changed his impression
towards the whole trip. When he saw the tamer standing on the head
of the giant whale, which was swimming faster than a speed-boat, he
couldn't help exclaiming,
That's amazing!

Four months ago, Peter, Jack and Wendy formed a rock band, Triangle.

School Singing Contest. The contest was held last week. They
performed before an audience of over a thousand students. Their
marvellous performance was followed by thundering applause. When

You look great!(你看起来神采飞扬!)
It was the first time my eighteen-year-old sister had ever had a
date. To her, it was an important event in life and therefore she
made every effort to make herself look great. She had her hair set,
then made her face up and put on a dress of her favourite colour.
But it seemed that she was still not so sure if she looked fine.
Seeing her stand there in front of the mirror looking at her own
reflection for some twenty minutes, I assured her,
You look great!

reflection 这里指“镜中的映像”。

What a surprise!
Last Sunday was my mother's birthday. We wanted to give her a
surprise, so we didin't mention anything about the birthday
celebration all along and she thought we had forgotten her big day.
On Sunday morning she went to do the shopping as usual. After she
left, we quickly decorated the living room for the birthday party.
Before my mother was back, everything was ready. When she opened the
door, in one voice we said Happy birthday.
What a surprise!
My mother responded with joy.

Marvellous!
It is very difficult to please my father with a good meal. No matter
my mother cooks, his only remark is Dogs' food. Last Friday, before
my father came home, my mother had been talking on the phone for
such a long time that she didn't have time to prepare the dinner. I
am starving. Can I have dinner now? my father shouted as he stepped
into the living room. In haste my mother made a dinner with some
canned dogs' food which was the only eatable thing left. Having had
a mouthful of the food, my father said,
Marvellous!
My mother quickly rushed back to the kitchen and burst into laughter
before blaming herself.

How did you do it?
Although it was a warm early summer afternoon, we had a great
English lesson. It began as a boring G.E. lesson but in the middle
of the lesson, Mr. Yeung stopped teaching because he saw that most
of us were dozing rather than listening. Let me show you a magic, he
suddenly said loudly. We were wide awake then. He put a coin on the
teacher's desk and then slowly placed a book on top of it. Bending
over until his mouth was just an inch from the book, he shouted, Go!
He asked one of us to pick up the book and amazingly the coin was
gone. We all exclaimed,
How did you do it?
